Catching the Vision

One of the things I did feel was exciting at General Assembly was the "Open all Hours" pack mentioned by Thames North Synod. It sounded like the sort of idea that, in a similar way to the "Five Marks of Mission", could give people images and ideas which could be transferred into local action.

Voting for Assembly Moderator

It would be good if before we vote for the Assembly Moderator we could see the person we are voting for.

Greetings

Having just returned from the GA of the Presbyterian Church (USA) I thought I'd see how you were all doing in my old denomination. Looks like you have some of the same issues we struggle with, from ordination standards to evangelism. Best wishes for the remainder of your time together.

Ecumenical overseas guests

My annual request is to know who our overseas guests were at the Assembly. Not necessarily by name but by partner church. (perhaps I missed it on the hotline?) A second comment. In a recent issue of the Methodist Recorder an article indicated that the Anglicans, Methodists and URC were considering sharing regional centres for ministerial and lay training. Was there info. on this possibly exciting way of being church in the 21st century?
